Meet Amy Nicely, NP & Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner
A few words from Amy…
Hello, my name Amy Nicley, and I am so thankful to work at Excell For Life and partner with our wonderful patients to improve their health with Functional Medicine. I began my work in healthcare in 2003 as a Nurse at Methodist Hospital after completing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Anderson University.
I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis in 2006 and have been practicing as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since that time. For my first 8 years of practice as an NP I practiced Internal medicine at Methodist Hospital. During this time I always felt a longing to practice more preventative medicine and help patients, via lifestyle and natural remedies, to avoid the chronic disease and associated complications.
My own health needs and those of my family led me to Excell For Life as a patient I found the approach to medicine I had been looking for. The Functional medicine approach led me to change my diet, stress management, exercise patterns, and address hormone imbalances that were holding me back from feeling my best. I wanted to help patients the same way Functional Medicine helped me thus I joined the Excell For Life team of Providers in September of 2014.
I completed my Institute for Functional Medicine certification training in 2017.
I live in the Lebanon area with my wonderful husband since 2000, Wes, and we have 2 precious children – Carson and Adalyn. We love staying active as a family through sports and all types of exercising. We are also active members of Traders Point Christian Church and enjoy serving as a family in their foster care ministry.
I am so blessed to practice at Excell and utilize functional medicine to help our wonderful patient. I look forward to partnering with you to optimize your health and achieve your health goals!
